Unsubscribe from SHEIN emails
SHEIN names two ways to stop its marketing email in its own privacy information: the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, and the contact preferences in your account. According to its help page you can also submit a request to refuse marketing email.
How to unsubscribe
Click Unsubscribe at the bottom of the email
Open an email from SHEIN and scroll down. According to SHEIN, you click Unsubscribe there to stop receiving marketing.
Change Contact Preferences in your account
Sign in to SHEIN and go to Settings, then Contact Preferences. That is where you limit email and SMS.
Send a request to SHEIN
The help page about marketing email also mentions submitting a request to refuse marketing email, or contacting customer service.
Unsubscribing does not work? Object
If the emails keep coming, or the link does not work, you have a stronger tool. If you live in the EU or the UK, Article 21 GDPR lets you object to the use of your data for direct marketing at any time, without giving a reason. After that, SHEIN may no longer use your data for it, and must respond without undue delay and within one month at most. In the US, the CAN-SPAM Act requires senders to honor an opt-out within 10 business days.
Send your objection through the SHEIN Privacy Center. For privacy requests from the EU, SHEIN refers to its own contact channel in the Privacy Center.
Example text
Objection to direct marketing (Article 21 GDPR) Dear SHEIN, Under Article 21(2) GDPR, I object to the use of my personal data for direct marketing, including newsletters and promotional email. This concerns the email address I am sending this message from. Please stop using this address for marketing and confirm that you have done so. Kind regards,
What keeps coming
Order confirmations, shipping updates, receipts and password emails are not marketing. They keep coming after you unsubscribe, and that is how it should be.

Not just SHEIN
Free scan. €4.99 once to unsubscribe. No account, nothing stored.
Scan my inbox for free →SHEIN is rarely the only sender in your inbox. in-boxed scans your inbox for free and shows every sender of promotional email, each with its route to get off the list. For a one-time €4.99 it sends the unsubscribe requests for every sender you pick. The scan reads only email headers, runs in your own browser and stores nothing.
Frequently asked questions
Does unsubscribing also stop SHEIN text messages?
Not automatically. The Unsubscribe link is about email. According to SHEIN, Contact Preferences in your account limits both email and SMS.
I do not have a SHEIN account. Can I still unsubscribe?
Yes, with the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. You do not need an account for that.
How long until the emails stop?
An email that was already scheduled can still arrive. Under GDPR a company must act on an objection without undue delay and within one month at most; under CAN-SPAM in the US, within 10 business days. If marketing keeps coming after that, you can complain to your data protection authority.
